Regional Conference of Youth and Women Leaders from Political Parties

From 26–28 September 2025, Dakar will host the WYDE Political Parties Regional Conference of Youth and Women Leaders from Political Parties in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, organized by IGD and CIS under the WYDE Political Parties Project, led by ENoP and funded by the European Union.

This three-day gathering will focus on the theme: “Integrating Women into Political Parties in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire”. Participants will exchange experiences, identify challenges, and showcase good practices to strengthen the inclusion of women in political party structures and decision-making.

The conference will bring together 30 youth and women leaders from eight major political parties across Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, ensuring balanced representation and fostering dialogue on reforms, capacity-building, and inclusive political participation.

By creating a space for reflection and cross-country exchange, the event aims to empower women leaders as drivers of democratic transformation and more representative governance in West Africa.
