Regional Exchange at ARE Energy Access Investment Forum 2026

TEI OP-VET will organise a regional exchange in connection with ARE Energy Access Investment Forum 2026 on the 23rd of April from 09:30 to 12:30. The event takes place in Nairobi, Kenya.

The session explores how opportunity‑driven skills development can accelerate Africa’s renewable energy transition. Building on new green jobs forecasting research by FSD Africa — including its gender‑responsive analysis of labour market trends — the session highlights how VET systems can align with concrete employment opportunities emerging across renewable energy value chains. It also examines evolving financing mechanisms that can strengthen workforce development and enable effective public–private–VET collaboration. For public and private sector actors, as well as VET and training providers, the session offers practical insights and partnership pathways to ensure Africa’s energy transition is powered by a skilled, inclusive and future‑ready labour force.
