Regional Exchange at DRC Mining Week 2026

TEI OP-VET will organise a regional exchange in connection with DRC Mining Week 2026.

Panel Discussion: “From Copper to Careers: Turning Lobito Corridor Investments into Local Jobs”, June 18 2026 from 10:30 to 12:30 local time. 

This panel focuses on the link between investment, skills development, and job creation in the value chains linked to the Lobito Corridor. It aims to illustrate in a concrete way the so-called "opportunity-driven" approach applied to skills development and vocational training (OP-VET). It relies on the joint facilitation of the Enabel team in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with a strong field experience in implementation, and the TEI OP-VET, which pilots and promotes this approach in sub-Saharan Africa as part of a Team Europe approach, combining the strengths and expertise of the European Member States.
