Side Event - European External Action: Promoting Human Rights Through Development Cooperation

The EU and its MS are the largest donor in the world with policies and development cooperation programmes that include objectives of fostering equality, accessibility and non-discrimination of persons with disabilities. In the new phase of its development cooperation 2014-2020, the EU intends to continue these objectives, notably through a new set of funding instruments. The side event will present these policies and exaples of programmes, as well as prospects for future cooperation in this field.
