Description
This symposium took place in Brussels on 1-2 September 2010. The main objectives were:
- To draw lessons from recent ISFS experiences by the main stakeholders involved, particularly with respect to institutional, organisational, financial, and coordination issues;
- To examine the current needs and opportunities for ISFS capacity and institution building focused on food crisis prevention and risk management decision-making at national and regional levels.
- To debate the merits and practical steps of a global initiative on ISFS assistance coordination.
Various international organisations, regional organisations, development partners, NGO’s and academia with expertise in ISFS attended the meeting.
