Event details
Description

We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming training session on Greening National Development that will take place in Maputo from 24 to 27 October 2016.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change demand a radical acceleration of efforts to integrate, or mainstream, environment and climate change into EU international cooperation. DEVCO is stepping up its efforts on mainstreaming and has published new guidelines on this matter .
This course focuses on supporting governments and other stakeholders to integrate environment and climate change in national development planning and budgetary processes.
The training will be held in Portuguese and English.
The maximum number of participants is 25. In case we get more applicants than availability, we will need to give precedence to EUD staff, but of course we will seek to satisfy the demand in future courses.
Please note that the travel and accommodation costs are not covered by the organiser. There are no registration costs and lunch will be provided.
Please note that this training targets staff working in many cooperation areas for which environmental mainstreaming principles are relevant, such as agriculture, private sector development, trade and economic cooperation, infrastructures, natural resources or environment related fields.
Participants from the EC and EEAS should register in SYSLOG as soon as possible – training number 512614.
Non-EU staff interested to participate in this training, please contact Hanna.PETRI@ec.europa.eu
