Trainings on the financing of sustainable water management & development/Formation à la recherche de financement pour l´eau

The first of two training sessions on the financing of sustainable water resources management and development, financing opportunities and project preparation will take place in Pretoria on April 7-10, 2014. The objective of the trainings is to equip professionals working in water resources management at national and transboundary levels with updated knowledge and information on financing water resources management and development. The training in South Africa is organized for participants from Eastern and Southern African. It is organized by WACDEP/GWP South Africa. The session for Northern, Western and Central African participants will be held in French, in Senegal, on April 22-25, 2014 and organized by SITWA Project. The trainings are co-organised by the EUWI AWG cooperating with GWP-SITWA project, ICA, the African Development Bank and UNDP CapNet.

La première formation sur le financement de projets de gestion et de développement durable des ressources en eau en Afrique se tiendra à Pretoria du 7 au 10  avril. Les objectifs de la formation sont de fournir aux cadres africains nationaux et au niveau des organismes de bassin les outils les plus à jour sur le financement de projet dans le domaine. La session de formation organisée en Afrique du Sud s´adresse aux participants issus d´Afrique orientale et australe. Elle est supervisée par le programme WACDEP du Partenariat Global de l´Eau. La formation pour l´Afrique du Nord, l´Afrique occidentale et centrale se tiendra en Français du 22 au 25 avril 2014 au Sénégal. Elle est organisée par le projet SITWA du Partenariat Global de l´Eau. Le Groupe de Travail Afrique de l´Initiative européenne de l´Eau organise ces formations conjointement avec le projet SITWA, ICA, la Banque africaine de Développement et CapNet du PNUD.
