UNEA-5.2: fifth session of the UN Environment Assembly | 28 February – 2 March 2022

UNEA-5 is the resumed session of UNEA 5 (UNEA 5.1 took place in 2021 under restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic). This resumed session will meet to discuss substantive matters that require in-depth negotiations, including a Ministerial Declaration under the UNEA-5 theme: “Strengthening Actions for Nature to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals”. Straight after UNEA 5.2, a Special Session will be held (28 February - 2 March) to commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations Environment Programme in 1972.
