IUCN
Event details
Description
UNEP representatives will take part in a number of related events and activities related to oceans, climate, pollution, and the impacts on conservation, including a UNEP-WCMC pavilion on the post-2020 process. Other events include:
- Realigning Economy and Conservation - Towards a Systemic Change in Economics and Finance
- High time to act for our Mediterranean - Session 1: Where are we now?
- State of Global Environmental Rule of Law Reports: Tracking and Advancing Environmental Rule of Law
- Launch of Global Ecosystem Restoration Principles Guiding the UN Decade
- And many more here and here
The Congress aims to improve how we manage our natural environment for human, social and economic development, but this cannot be achieved by conservationists alone. The IUCN Congress convenes a range of stakeholders and is the place to put aside differences and work together to create good environmental governance, engaging all parts of society to share both the responsibilities and the benefits of conservation.
The sessions will be live-streamed outside the registration paywall. Access will be via the Congress home page.
