UNICEF - ‘Working Together to Achieve Equity: Bringing Children with Disabilities to the Forefront of International Development Cooperation’

UNICEF organises an initial discussion on partnering to implement a Forum: ‘Working Together to Achieve Equity: Bringing Children with Disabilities to the Forefront of International Development Cooperation.’ The aim of the Forum will be to bring together partners from governments, UN agencies, NGOs, CSOs, DPOs, and academia, to explore ways of enhancing visibility and establishing a common agenda for international cooperation on the rights of children with disabilities at the country, regional and global levels. The Forum will provide opportunities to discuss common principles and strategies for innovation partnerships. 

During the initial discussion, the expected outcome is to engage potential partners in developing the concept for the Forum which will be held in 2012, potentially during the High Level Meeting on Disability.
