Webinar on the Call for Expression of Interest (CEI) to join the Team Europe Democracy (TED) Network

On 10 March 2023 from 1.30 pm till 3 pm (CET) the Team Europe Democracy (TED) Secretariat will conduct a webinar on the Call for Expression of Interest (CEI) to join the Team Europe Democracy Network.

The TED Network is one of the key outputs of the TED initiative. The Initiative was launched in 2021 by the European Commission and 14 EU Member States to promote democracy and human rights worldwide. The platform will be composed of EU Institutions, EU Member States and their implementing agencies, individual CSOs or networks, thinks tanks, research centres and universities based in Europe and engaged in promoting democracy and human rights across the world. Europe-based multilateral organisations are also invited to join.

During the webinar, potential Network members will learn more about the TED initiative and its objectives, the criteria for the Network membership and operational modalities. Participants will have the chance to share their expectations regarding the new platform and clarify questions.   

Agenda:   

• Presentation by the TED Secretariat of the TED initiative and 2023 priorities;
• Presentation by DG INTPA G1’s unit on the Vision for the TED initiative and call to CSOs;
• Presentation by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (I-IDEA) and the European Democracy Hub (EDH) on their Experiences in strengthening coordination and synergies in promoting democracy worldwide;
• Q&A session.
