Description
SPIAC-B WG Linking Cash and Social Protection Webinar
This webinar aims to discuss the potential of national response plans as common framework to ensure available resources are channelled in a harmonised, timely, and needs-based manner to save lives. The webinar will focus particularly on how these frameworks could better link actions by humanitarian and development actors in the context of the delivery of cash and social protection.
The main objective of this webinar is to discuss how the urgent needs of populations can be covered in a coherent and coordinated way.
The webinar will focus on various cases of how national response plans have been used to improve coordination but also the challenges in implementing them. Examining the cases of Madagascar and Niger we plan to discuss in detail the role of a national response plan, coherence of the design package (who, what, when, where, how long), and coordinated follow-up and reporting tools can improve the coherence of humanitarian and development assistance.
