Description
Join the global call to #BeatPlasticPollution
Plastic pollution reaches even the most remote corners of our planet β and our bodies. Every year, over 400 million tonnes of plastic are produced, half of it single-use. Only a fraction is recycled, while millions of tonnes leak into rivers, lakes and oceans, threatening ecosystems, biodiversity and human health.
This year, World Environment Day calls for systemic change, just two months before countries meet again to negotiate a global treaty to end plastic pollution.
π¬ Scientific evidence is clear: we must refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle β and rethink our relationship with plastic.
π± Solutions exist. Now is the time to scale them up.
From nature-based innovations to policy and industry shifts, every effort counts. Letβs act together to build a cleaner, more sustainable future.
