WTO and UNEP’s Environment and Trade Hub will organize a high-level event on Environment and trade for a sustainable and inclusive recovery from Covid-19. The event marks the start of a series of activities of the WTO Trade and Environment Week 2020. The International Resource Panel will also release its think piece: Sustainable Trade in Resources: Trade, Global Material Flows and Circularity. This report aims to inform policymakers on trade flows of material resources – including their environmental impacts – and the potential of trade to contribute to the transition to a greener and more circular economy.
