Event details
Description
The MYCELIA mentorship programme will run between May and July 2025 and stands for "Mentoring Youth for Collective Engagement in Learning, Interaction, and Activism. Please share this opportunity with young 15-18 year olds who
- have started to become engaged in activism or mobilising
- are interested in democratic participation, and especially that of underrepresented communities (including but not limited to women, LGBTQI+ people, people with a migration background…)
- speak one of the following languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovakian, Spanish.
Experienced activists support newer activists (aged 15-18 years old) by listening to their questions, experiences and guiding them in future activism. Together, they address common challenges and pitfalls to avoid in making a change in local and global communities.
The programme entails one introduction session, three mentoring sessions and a final evaluation session. The three mentorship sessions of 60 to 90 minutes are offered to two mentees from the same country or interested in the same topic.
Applicants should complete this form before 12 May 2025

The MYCELIA mentorship program is part of the Critical ChangeLab. It unites young people across Europe to collaborate and construct a youth-activist network for peer-learning, resource exchange and action-oriented civic engagement, seeking to develop sustainable futures leadership.
The program is run by European Alternatives, a partner of the DEAR project "Tackle". It is a civil society organisation promoting democracy, equality and culture beyond the nation-state. It has been working with people from throughout Europe over the past 16 years to increase their skills, capacities and networks to promote change.
