The new Evaluation Handbook was published in May 2024. This new handbook is applicable for all evaluations with the EC's International Partnerships (DG INTPA) and service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI). In it, you will find guidance for evaluation commissioners and managers, evaluation contractors and evaluation team members, to conduct evaluations with the objective to align evaluation practices between all actors, and ultimately improve evaluation quality and use.

This new guidance effectively replaces the previous Methodology Guidance published in 2006 and reflects the significant progress made in the field of evaluation over the past two decades. The handbook is a living document that will be adapted over time to reflect evolving practice and needs.
