Thematic areas
The Disaster Risk Reduction Programme (DRRP) brings together eight implementing partners working across several countries to strengthen resilience, reduce vulnerabilities, and support communities to prepare and respond to the impacts of disasters. Our work is structured around three main thematic areas that collectively reflect the programme’s comprehensive approach to disaster risk management.
- Disaster Risk Governance
- Investing in Resilience
- Preparedness and Post-Disaster Recovery
Within each thematic area tab you will find thematic briefs on the topics together with real‑world case studies that illustrate how ideas, strategies, and partnerships translate into concrete outcomes. Each case study documents a specific challenge, the approach taken to address it, and the results achieved—highlighting both successes and lessons learned. All case studies are explicitly aligned with the Programme’s results framework, demonstrating how interventions contribute to intended outcomes and broader strategic objectives.
