2014 Year of Agriculture and Food Security in Africa: Concept Note

This concept note is intended to provide general information on how 2014 the Year of Agriculture and Food Security, marking 10th Anniversary of CAADP, is envisaged to be commemorated. It briefly presents the background and rationale of the years' agenda, its objectives and expected outcomes and the proposed theme and sub-themes around which the various events are going to be organized. It offers an outline of the actions and events that will guide the activities presented. Finally, the different structures and mechanisms that are proposed to steer and manage the process to fruition are defined.  A work plan is presented in annex.
