2nd EU-UN Annual Dialogue on Prevention, Stabilisation and Peacebuilding Bridging policy and practice

We kindly invite you to the 2nd EU-UN Annual Dialogue on Prevention, Stabilisation and Peacebuilding, to be held on 7-10 June 2022 in a hybrid format. 

While the event takes place at a difficult moment for international relations, it is more important than ever that multilateral institutions apply their toolbox to consolidate peace initiatives across the globe by bridging the gap between policy and practice.

Building on last year’s EU-UN consultation on strategic programming, this year’s event will focus on supporting local capacity in countries around the world to enhance the prevention, stabilisation and peacebuilding agenda. The exchanges between UN and EU officials will also make it possible to develop a community of practice, connecting EU-UN staff working at country level and at headquarters.

The Dialogue will bring together EU and UN senior managers and technical experts for an interactive exchange. It will offer deep dives into specific topics of mutual interest and concern, including making peace, justice and inclusive societies possible in line with SDG16 and based on concrete country examples.
