6th Annual DeLoG Meeting (May 2011) Intro to DeLoG publication for 4th High Level Forum on Aid effectiveness

This presentation gives an overview of a planned DeLoG publication on Local Governance and Decentralisation, to be published in the run-up to the 4^th HLF. It will draw conclusions, report on progress made on the Paris indicators in the area of LGD, show the relevance of supporting decentralisation, make recommendations on how a decentralised system can contribute to aid effectiveness and address the challenges of implementing the aid effectiveness agenda in the field of LGD.

The paper will be based on case studies on LGD conducted in the DRC, Indonesia, Uganda, Benin, Mozambique, Peru and Ghana.

GIZ delivered this presentation at the 6^th Annual Meeting of the Development Partners Working Group on Local Governance and Decentralisation (DELOG).
