Action Fiche: African Reference Laboratory for the Management of Pollinator Bee Diseases and Pests for Food Security

The establishment of a bee health research centre and satellite stations in Africa is of critical importance in order to preserve bee health and thereby increase agricultural productivity and small-scale farmers’ income.

The aim of this project is “To enhance the contribution of bees and other pollinators to food security and improved livelihoods in Africa”.
