Agenda_Towards2030-dialogue & TRANSrisk Regional Workshop in Athens, 25 October 2016
Towards2030-dialogue and TRANSrisk will co-organise a Regional Workshop at NTUA premises in Athens on 24th and 25th of October 2016 focusing on the Case of Greece, towards a low carbon European Union.
The objective of the Workshop is to bring together European policy makers, national policy makers, regional and local policy makers, regulators, TSOs, DSOs, utilities, RES associations, business and industry, industry associations, consumer associations, academia, NGOs, civil society organisations, communicators and other public and private relevant actors to review together climate change policies and define jointly the EU objectives, requirements and risks, especially regarging RES policies.
The aim of the workshop is also to establish a Towards2030 and TRANSrisk partnership that will mutually and jointly contribute in order to increase dialogue and appropriate incorporation of stakeholders' feedback in issues towards a Low-Carbon European Union.
The workshop will be organised along a series of oral presentations and round table discussions.
More emphasis will be put on policy challenges and pathways for meeting the 2030 RES target, with a special focus on the prospects and challenges of Greece towards a low carbon future. All participants to the workshop will be requested to make an intervention and participate in an interactive stakeholder discussion dedicated on solar power and building systems in Greece.
