Austrian intervention at the MSF of the EUWI on the Stockholm World Water Week

Mr. Chairman, ladies and gentlemen,

Thank you for the opportiunity to give this intervention.
First of all, I would like to congratulate the European Commission, the Member States, all involved partner countries and the stakeholders to the progress of the EU Water Initiative (EUWI). The partner countries presentations’ during this week, such as from Ethiopia, Ghana, EECCA, but also the ACP Waterfacility session, as well as the presentations given during today, showed that the EUWI can make partnerships more effective and the country dialogues can considerably help to stimulate local demand.
