Budget Support and Democracy: INSPIRED policy dialogue

This two-pager gives an overview of how the European Partnership for Democracy, a Brussels-based network of European democracy support organisations, proposes to strengthen the link between budget support provision and support to democratic institutions in a given country. The paper outlines key challenges for donor agencies to make use of this link effectively and proposes the INSPIRED method, co-funded by the European Union, as a potential solution.
