The Regional Capacity-Building Workshop for CMS non-parties of the Caribbean Region – CMS as a Tool for Conservation of Biodiversity is a workshop that took place in Bridgetown, Barbados from 31 August 2016 to 2 September 2016.
The workshop includes sessions on the role of CMS and its implementation, advice on the roles and responsibilities of National Focal Points (NFPs), a session on the accession process, and two field visits to a shorebird refuge and a sea turtle nesting beach. Its main focus is to emphasize the importance of the Caribbean for conserving biodiversity and migratory wildlife.
