Challenges in Monitoring and Evaluation - World Bank - (2010)

This is a summary of the Fifth Conference of the Latin America and the Caribbean Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Network. Its topic was "Challenges in Monitoring and Evaluation: An Opportunity to Institutionalize M&E Systems".

In great detail, the Conference examined the role and impact of Monitoring and Evalution in the project efforts of its participants, especially in Costa Rica and Mexico, though also learning lessons from the examples of Canada and South Africa. It analyzed the role played by M & E in Latin American projects, and how M & E may need to be adapted to overcome the unique challenges of using it in Latin America.
