Policy report / Briefing
In this briefing, Sophie Desmidt and Ashley Neat from the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) look at the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis for conflict-affected areas in Africa. They warn against being blindsided by the ‘headline’ impact of COVID-19 on conflicts and call for weighing the impact on deeper, longer-term causes and drivers of conflicts and inequality – gender inequality in particular.
