EC advanced seminar DLG 2012_Session 1.5.1 Policy orientations and implications for DLG_ECDPM

This session explored the recent developments in international and EU development cooperation political and policy orientations.  It first presented the implications of the Busan Outcome Document with regards to supporting decentralisation and local governance in practice, with a focus on the principles of ownership, the use of country systems at the local level, the results oriented agenda, inclusive partnerships at the local level and transparency and accountability.  It then looked at the implications of the EU Agenda for Change with regards DLG.
