The European Consensus on Development

This declaration aims to present the shared vision that guides the EU's action in development cooperation. It suggests concrete actions at the EU level so as to facilitate the implementation of this shared vision. This document is made up of two sections. The first one specifies which principles and objectives the EU member states and the EC have endorsed and are committed to. The second part is intended to guide implementation of this vision. It further specifies priorities for concrete action and guidelines for planning and implemeting the development assistance component of all Community insruments and cooperation strategies.
