This presentation, delivered by Enrique De Loma-Ossorio from the EU Trust Fund for Africa (EUTF) highlights take-aways from the large-scale EUTF impact evaluation, focusing  on employment creation and migration management in the Horn of Africa. While technical training supports job access, long-term employment requires broader business and legal support. Key challenges include limited rights and mobility for refugees and access to documentation. Successful initiatives, such as the RISE project in Uganda, show that training refugees alongside host communities can enhance social cohesion and integration. The presentation emphasizes strengthening TVET systems, involving the private sector, and promoting inclusive job creation as durable solutions for displacement and migration.
