First Progress Report on the Forest Partnership between the EU and Uganda 

This first Progress Report on the Forest Partnership between the EU and Uganda covering 2023-2024 was released in June 2025.  

"An independent but closely related EU supported Forestry programme was formulated on the following aspects: combatting wildlife trafficking and forest crime; development of non-wood forest products (NWFP) value chains (VCs), promotion and development of the Wood VC and processing and access to forest finance; forest governance, social inclusion and coordination." reads the Report  which provides an overview of the main results achieved and the progress towards ensuring sustainable forest management, increasing jobs in forest value chains, reducing deforestation and facilitating trade in wood products.
