Going Circular - National level processes towards a circular economy
Countries across the world have embarked on a journey towards a sustainable economic model benefiting people, the planet and prosperity: the Circular Economy (CE), as ambitioned in the EU Green Deal. With support from the SWITCH to Green Facility, DG INTPA collected insights into circular economy transition processes from selected countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Interviews with stakeholders in Colombia, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Senegal and Uganda reveal drivers, milestones and lesson learnt in the national level transitions towards a circular economy. The interviewed national stakeholders, include EU Delegations, government ministries and agencies, the private sector and civil society. The case studies comprise an analysis of the vision and motivation of actors in the CE transition process.
