Handbook on Social Protection Systems (2021) Eds Esther Schüring and Markus Löwe
Dear Group Members,
The objective of this post is to provide all members with a quick access to the Handbook on Social Protection Systems as part of our library and recommended publications. This comprehensive volume has been published in August 2021 by the German Development Institute (Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik - DIE) and the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, and many of its chapters are authored by members of CoPs supported by SPaN. A link to the volume has been already shared with the members of the group at the time of its launch via e-messaging.
Please be aware that our library tool allows only one file per post, so we are uploading Chapter 16 on the Humanitarian-Development Nexus, authored by Cecile Cherrier, and we encourage you to access the content of the Handbook by accessing its open source page.
We invite all new and old members of our community of practice to check our library and discussion threads for information in the sector and keep your preferences for e-messaging active to receive up-to-date information on social protection across the humanitarian-development nexus.
Best regards,
Zena
Handbook on Social Protection Systems
Edited by Esther Schüring and Markus Loewe
Abstract: This exciting and innovative Handbook provides readers with a comprehensive and globally relevant overview of the instruments, actors and design features of social protection systems, as well as their application and impacts in practice. It is the first book that centres around system building globally, a theme that has gained political importance yet has received relatively little attention in academia.
