Lessons Learned: Youth Access to Rural Finance - IFAD - (2014)
Library
This document highlights an issue that should be a critical component in many rural finance development projects: the youth. As a significant portion of the population in rural areas, youth access must be a primary consideration when designing these projects, the document argues.
In support of this, it identifies common ways that youth access is limited or even prevented, and how to overcome these obstacles. It also outlines strategies to ensure that youth access is established and maintained. It gets all of this information through the lessons learned from projects in Central America, Africa, and South America. It also analyzes case studies conducted in these places, and statistics gathered about rural finance.
