The missing link: Cybersecurity and technology-facilitated gender-based violence in the Women, Peace and Security agenda

This report highlights a crucial gap in national action plans (NAPs) for Women, Peace, and Security (WPS), which often overlook the role of cybersecurity in protecting women from technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV). While cybersecurity is occasionally mentioned, it is disconnected from broader security strategies and digital rights frameworks. The report calls for integrating cybersecurity into the WPS agenda, expanding the definition of security to include digital safety, and fostering collaboration among governments, digital rights organizations, and the private sector to create gender-responsive cybersecurity policies.
