The National Environmental Summary (NES for short) has been developed by UNEP as tools for the consideration of the environmental component in the Joint Country Analysis. It provides an analytical framework for examining the gaps in responses (plans, programs and policies) and progress in implementation by national authorities and regional/international organizations.
