New: International Resource Panel Overview Brochure
The International Resource Panel (IRP) was launched by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in 2007 to build and share the knowledge needed to improve our use of resources worldwide.
This new brochure presents the Panel, its mission, its structure, what it works on, an overview of its reports and think pieces published between 2011-2020, how it delivers, and what themes it is currently focusing on.
The IRP works inter alia closely with the European Commission and was cited as one of the main sources of the new EU Green Deal. Its reports also help shape the discussions for the formation of United Nations Environment Assembly Resolutions. IRP further collaborates with multiple UN bodies to facilitate crossfertilization and to deepen regional impacts, and fosters partnerships with business leaders to address challenges and opportunities in implementing resource efficiency strategies. The IRP is also one of the main knowledge providers to the G7 and G20, who regularly request IRP insights on specific topics.

The Panel's goal is to steer us away from overconsumption, waste and ecological harm to a more prosperous and sustainable future.
