Online toolkit on Global Citizenship in five modules (DEAR project "Connect for Global Change")
How can we make global citizenship more tangible, inclusive and inspiring? This toolkit serves small civil society organisations (CSOs) to strengthen their communication, collaboration and impact around global justice - in particular to develop strong project proposals. It offers guidance and reflection on global justice, engagement, cooperation with the Global South, gender equality, and measuring your impact.
Whether you're new to global citizenship work or want to sharpen your approach, the toolkit provides tools and practical exercises. The modules can be followed in any order, at your own pace:
- Understanding Global Challenges: Learn about global challenges and understand their interconnectedness. Be able to use the Global Goals as a framework for your actions. Know how to articulate your message in a constructive way.
- Meaningful Engagement: Understand the principles of meaningfully engaging others. Design actions for different people at different levels of engagement. Gain tools to better understand your target group, including those who are currently less engaged.
- Involve and Cooperate: Explore why and how to partner with organisations from the Global South, and build stronger collaborations.
- Be Gender Transformative: Learn about the history of different approaches to gender equality. Know how to incorporate a gender transformative and intersectional approach in your work.
- Measure Your Impact: Understand the importance of measuring change. Know various methods to measure change. Know how to use various tools to measure the output and outcome of your activity.
The free toolkit is on the learning platform of the DEAR project "Connect for Global Change" | Catalogue. It is available in English, Catalan, French, Dutch, Italian, Lithuanian, Slovenian, Polish and Latvian. The Latvian version is linked in Projektu konkurss.
