Problem Tree Analysis - MDF - (2005)
This document introduces and explains the "Problem Tree" method of analysis, a tool that the MDF consulting agency uses to organize and plan its actions when tasked to address difficult issues. The document explains a different way of understanding large, complicated issues. Rather than looking at the issue as a single, large problem, it is broken down into a network of smaller, more specific problems that are related to each other - the "Problem Tree".
Once this "Problem Tree" has been constructed, MDF recommends creating a network of solutions matching each smaller problem in the Problem Tree that, as a whole, result in a larger solution to the issue, or the "Objective Tree". According to MDF, the larger, complex issues can be addressed by implementing these "Objective Trees".
