Risk, clean energy and climate change finance for small island states – a case study from Samoa
Carried out with support from the Climate Support Facility, this case study illustrates work carried out in Samoa to try to attract support for climate resilience efforts by small private entrepreneurs. The paper is aimed at practitioners and government agency persons in small island states. The results are practical, innovative ideas aimed at assisting other SIDS attract climate financing to satisfy these now critical needs. We suggest this paper to anyone interested in: climate finance; small island developing states (SIDS); business case; capacity development; Pilot Programme for Climate Resilience (PPCR); climate resilience, vulnerability and risk.
