Views on recent news: Food security in the G20 under French Presidency. This year France assumes the Presidency of the G20 centred on six priority subjects, including excessive commodity price volatility, and development. In this article, Sujiro Seam, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Food Security and Economic Development, French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and co-facilitator for the G20 work on food security as part of the working group on development, presents the steps for preparing the Summit, the main points of consensus and divergence between member states, and makes a first analysis of the discussions to date.
