Social Behavior Change Communication: Focusing and Designing - USAID - (2012)
This part of the United States Agency for International Development's series on Social Behavior Change Communication focuses on the period between first appraising a project, and implementing. This is the period where the bulk of project planning and design takes place. According to USAID, implementing a "Communication Strategy" is a good idea. A communication strategy is the bridge between the situation analysis and the actual implementation of the SBCC program, including the creation and rollout of materials, products, and activities. USAID recommends creating the following report for stakeholders during this period: A summary of the situation analysis, the communication strategy itself, and plans to implement and evaluate the project. The first item on that list was already completed in the "Understanding the Situation" phase, and the document goes into detail to explain what, specifically, should be included in the other parts of the report.
