This document explains the Statement of Government Financial Operations (GFO), as used by the IMF to make macroeconomic projections in a country. It gives the tools to better analyze the IMF data on the financial position of governments and their fiscal policies, in line with the development objectives and the analysis of the eligibility for budget support.
