On Strategies to address the effects of corruption on women by Ana Linda Solano @ EUROsociAL+
This session presents EUROsociAL’s work on the gendered dimension of corruption, in particular, the differentiated impacts of corruption on women in Latin America. The session focuses on three situations that exemplify these impacts on women: 1. Sextortion: when public officials ask for sexual favours or others in exchange for access to basic services 2. Corruption that facilitates human trafficking and 3. Conditioning to “vote-buying” the access to social programs. EUROscociAL presents the dialogue between various national public institutions, international organisations, civil society, and academy on the gendered dimension of corruption, and the recommendations and actions that have taken place. *The views expressed in this video are the Knowledge Partner’s only, and do not necessarily represent the views of the OECD or its member countries.* Speaker: - Ana Linda Solano, Consultant, Gender and Corruption Action, EUROsociAL+
