Study on Tax-motivated Illicit Financial Flows

This study has two main goals. Firstly, it aims to understand and explain Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) and Tax-motivated Illicit Financial Flows (TIFFs), with a specific focus on the European Union (EU) approach to addressing these issues. Secondly, it looks  at how the EU is working to stop IFFs in Africa, taking into account existing initiatives and stakeholders. The study proposes potential EU interventions to better assist and support African partners and align with the EU-AU joint commitment on IFFs from the 2022 Summit.
