TBT INSIGHT: ACCREDITATION, by the TBT Programme

In the attached document, the key elements of accreditation including its definition, challenges, main actors involved and future developments in the sector on the African continent are presented in the interview of Mr. Ron Josias, African Accreditaiton Cooperation (AFRAC) Chair. Dr Hermogène Nsengimana, African Standard Organisaiton (ARSO) Secretary General and Pan African Quality Infrastructure (PAQI) Joint Committee Chairperson,highlights the importance of accreditation in the African integration agenda. Finally Dr Bruno Doko, TBT Expert, describes the importance of accreditation as a tool for trade facilitation and export competitiveness and shows the involvement of the TBT Programme in this field.
