Train4dev (2011), Harmonisation, Decentralisation, Local Governance: Introduction: aid effectiveness, decentralisation and local governance (Participant’s kit)

This participant’s kit provides an overview of international documents dealing with decentralisation and local governance and introduces the connections between decentralisation and local governance and the agenda on aid effectiveness.

It presents theDevelopment Partners Working Group on Local Governance and Decentralisation (DeLOG) and DeLOG’s Guiding Principles for Enhancing Alignment and Harmonisation on Local Governance and Decentralisation. These principles link the Paris Declaration and Accra Agenda for Action (AAA) on aid effectiveness with decentralisation and local governance.
