This brief presents the work of Centro Juana Azurduy, a WYDE | Women's Leadership grantee in Bolivia, supported under the WYDE | Women’s Leadership programme, funded by the European Union and led by UN Women.
The project aims to transform patriarchal social norms that restrict women’s political participation in the municipality of Sucre (Bolivia) by strengthening the leadership, collective action, and public voice of Indigenous, urban-migrant, youth, and LGBTQ+ women.
Centro Juana Azurduy amongst 16 women’s rights civil society organizations leading country-level interventions to advance women’s political participation and leadership.
