I am Christina Etzell, a Seconded National Expert from Sweden, working as a Policy Officer at the European Commission in DG INTPA, where I focus on development effectiveness, public sector expertise and being the focal point for two EU Member States (Finland and Sweden). Much of what we do in our unit centers around the Team Europe Initiatives (TEI's) and the Global Gateway Strategy - all through a Team Europe Approach. I studied political science, international relations and French at the University of Stockholm. I have worked in Namibia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Palestine, but I have also managed programmes (including humanitarian) in South Africa, Somalia and Sudan and am very interested in the work we all do in fragile and conflict contexts. On Capacity4Dev, I manage the Development Effectiveness group.
