I am Enrique Andrés del Castillo, Peruvian Industrial Engineer with specializations in climate change and project management.
I am currently a scholarship holder of the Swedish Institute for Global Professionals Scholarship (SISGP). Thanks to this scholarship, I am studying for a Master's degree in Global Management at Jonkoping University in Sweden from September 2024.
As part of my professional experience in Fairtrade International, I have been able to contribute to the promotion of different projects in environmental and social inclusion matters for the benefit of more than 500,000 producers and farmers in Latin America, who make up the fair-trade system.
I am also part of the Regional Team of the "CREDIBLE" Project, developed by The International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), from where we disseminate initiatives aimed at media literacy and learning about the risks of manipulated information.
In 2017, I obtained the international student mobility scholarship "Erasmus Mundus", funded by the European Union to study at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
I also participated in the Professional Internship Program of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington DC (2020).
In addition, I am part of the Peruvian Delegation of "The Global Youth Biodiversity Network" (GYBN) and "The Youth Congress for Sustainable Americas" (YCSA), entities with which I participated in the United Nations Conference on Biological Diversity (COP15) in Montreal (2022) and the Cities Summit of the Americas in Denver (2023) respectively. In which we promote actions in environmental education and biodiversity conservation.
I was also part of the Selection Committee for the 2024 Cohort of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI), a program funded by the U.S. Department of State.
My interest in being part of the Capacity4dev Ambassadors Program is to contribute to the strengthening of social and cultural relations between Europe and Latin America through the dissemination and implementation of international cooperation projects, the exchange of experiences and the execution of training programs in relevant topics for the region.
